Are you a freight broker?

No. Dell Starr Logistics works as a dispatch agent for motor carriers under a written agreement. We do not arrange transportation for shippers.

Do I need my own authority and insurance?

Yes. Carriers must operate under active MC/DOT authority and maintain required insurance.

Do I need a DAT subscription?

If you already use DAT, we will discuss adding dispatcher access. If not, we will review load-board options during your first call.

Do I have to accept every load?

No. You approve every load before it is booked.

What do you charge?

Our standard fee is 6% of linehaul for loads we book. There is no setup fee and no monthly minimum.

Do you offer a veteran discount?

Yes. Eligible veteran-owned carriers receive our Veteran Welcome Rate of 5% of linehaul on qualifying loads picked up during the first 60 calendar days after the dispatch agreement takes effect. The standard 6% rate applies afterward. The individual owner, or an owner holding at least 51% of the carrier, must be a U.S. Armed Forces veteran, including Reserve or National Guard service, separated under conditions other than dishonorable.

How is veteran eligibility verified?

At onboarding, show a Veteran Health Identification Card, VA Veteran ID Card, or state ID bearing a veteran designation. We record only the document type and verification date, retain no copy, and never request a DD-214 or Social Security number. The offer is available once per carrier and cannot be combined with another promotion.

When is the dispatch fee paid?

Fees are invoiced weekly with a clear settlement statement showing your completed loads and linehaul revenue.

What equipment do you dispatch?

We support dry van, reefer, and flatbed carriers. Ask us about other equipment types.

Do you work with factoring companies?

Yes. With your authorization, paperwork can be sent according to your factoring company’s process.

What information should I avoid sending through the website?

Do not submit Social Security numbers, EINs, bank information, passwords, or payment-card details through any website form.
